{"id":484,"date":"2024-09-05T19:33:35","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T19:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/priceworldnovel.co.uk\/?p=484"},"modified":"2024-09-05T19:33:35","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T19:33:35","slug":"a-great-chishill-thriller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/priceworldnovel.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/09\/05\/a-great-chishill-thriller\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;A Great Chishill Thriller&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>That&#8217;s how the editor of The Chishills &#8211; a monthly parish newsletter that is circulated around my home village of Great Chishill and its sister, Little Chishill &#8211; headlined an article on me and my debut novel in September 2024&#8217;s issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m immensely thankful for Will&#8217;s (Will Parson the Editor) piece and his and the Villages support of my writing endeavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several friends have already stopped my Father and informed him they&#8217;ve bought a copy, with one saying &#8220;they hadn&#8217;t been able to put it down&#8221; and &#8220;when was it going to be made into a film?&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much of the early story is set in the fictional village of Barnsdale, which was based so very closely on Great Chishill and the immediate surrounding countryside, which I hope residents in the area will immediately recognise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such landmarks as the Windmill, the Orchard, The Church, the Pheasant (public house) and even the chalk pit, provide the backdrop to key scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t be put off by the thought of serene &amp; tranquil sounding chapters.
