One of the great pleasures of writing is the opportunity to meet with other fellow authors, sitting around the metaphorical camp fire, swapping experiences and inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So it was when i received a message from Bill, who lives in Great Chishill – the ‘birthplace’ and home of my novels hero Dr Adam Price – inviting me to meet up on my next visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It just so happens I was in Great Chishill this Easter weekend gone, visiting my Dad who still lives on Heydon Road, and donating a copy of my new book – Price: Polestarr to the village book exchange – an old converted red telephone box! (see the video on my Youtube channel<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill is working on his own novel (I won’t spoil the surprise by giving away anything here), and is at the stage of first proof reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We discussed the problems inherent with different approaches to writing and how leaving to long a gap between efforts, can cause problems of continuity and train of thought for the writer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think we both left our meeting with inspiration and some ideas to move forward each other’s projects with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
