How often does a writer get jealous or envious of one of their characters?

I must confess that with writing the adventures of Dr Adam Price, both in the debut Price: World and the sequel Price: Polestarr, and even now as I’m writing the third adventure – Price: Dark Crater, I have become rather jealous of his AI companion – AMIe (Advanced Machine Intelligence experiment).

So, I decided that it was time to dust off the lesser used grey cells of my mind and learn some computer programming.

To that end, with some Birthday money, I treated myself to a Raspberry Pi 5 computer here-after christened as my very own AMIe.

There’s a ton of learning to do, without interfering with my Sunday ‘Writing Days’, so it’s going to be a long process – I’m under no illusions there.
