It was an absolute privilege to be at the Milestone Studios (New Mills) last night, for their opening night, featuring some 62 pieces of art from 40 artists, with many for sale.

Visitors Choice Award and a special Studio Award all up for grabs!

Of course, I bumped into my old neighbours, Mark & Isla. Mark, an extremely accomplished, full-time Artist and Isla, who owns and runs her own Art Gallery & Gift shop in the historic Cavendish Arcade of Buxton.

Talk turned to what we were both working on and a great discussion about the pro’s & con’s of self-publishing and the importance of aiming your work at a specific audience.

It was really great to catch up with you both.

The New Mills Open Art Exhibition 2025 runs from the 13th to the 27th September, at the Milestone Studios & Gallery, New Mills.

Did You Know? Some of Price: World was actually written at the studios. I can recommend the quiet and contemplative atmosphere, surrounded by inspirational art, an excellent back drop to writing.
